A small team on one narrow problem.
Valcour Systems exists to move cargo through breaking surf and across a beach with nobody on board.
Why we started
Plenty of vessels can carry cargo across an ocean. Very few things can carry it through the surf and above the high-water line.
That gap is short in distance and large in consequence. It is where crews are most exposed and where expensive craft are most at risk. We started Valcour to close it with a vehicle that is small, unmanned and affordable enough to use every day.
We are based in San Diego, close to the water we test in.
Test in the water
Simulation first, then the bench, then the surf. Results from the water outrank everything else.
Buy what exists
Hulls, motors and electronics come off the shelf where possible. We spend our effort on what nobody sells.
Cheap enough to lose
A craft that works in the surf zone will sometimes be lost there. Cost is a requirement, the same as payload.

Work with us
We are looking for people who know the surf zone, people who buy for it, and people who want to help build for it.
